Man injured in drive-by shooting in Winston-Salem, according to police

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are investigating after authorities said a man was injured in a drive-by shooting.

The 24-year-old male victim told police he was standing next to a parked car outside his home when a car drove past him and someone inside fired a shot.

Police responded to the shooting around 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 900 Block of Ferrell Avenue and said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to his lower body, according to police.

The suspect vehicle was last seen headed south toward New Walkertown Road and is described as a gold or silver, four-door passenger car, according to police.
