ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Kaitlyn Nicole Williams, 19, has been located after being reported missing, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Prior to being located, Williams was last seen by her mother on Friday, July 18 around 8:30 p.m. Williams was headed to a friend’s house and then to the beach but never arrived at the house.

Deputies say Williams left in her 2001 Honda Civic, which was later found in a Walmart parking lot in Mayodan.  Her mother received a text saying it was there.

Attempts to contact her had been unsuccessful.

It was unclear where Williams was located but deputies say she is safe.
