Former Destiny’s Child member arrested in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A former Destiny’s Child member was arrested in Myrtle Beach over the weekend.

Farrah Franklin, 33, charged with disorderly conduct.

Franklin was a member of the R&B group Destiny’s Child for five months in 2000. She was taken into custody Sunday morning in Horry County.

Franklin was released later on Sunday after posting bond.

Franklin joined the group, along with Michelle Williams, to replace two original members of Destiny’s Child. After she left, the group served to launch the solo careers of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
