SYDNEY — An Australian woman who lost her brother in the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 earlier this year also lost her stepdaughter after Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down over Ukraine on Thursday, according to multiple media reports.

Kaylene Mann’s brother Rod Burrows and his wife Mary Burrows were on board Flight 370 when it vanished in March.

Mann’s stepdaughter, Maree Rizk, was among the 298 people killed when Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile.

Rizk and her husband Albert, of Melbourne, were returning home from a four-week vacation in Europe, according to the Associated Press.
