JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The mother of a missing Virginia teenager is in North Carolina awaiting extradition as she faces abduction charges.

WTVD-TV reported that Denise Shaver was arrested Sunday, along with Kevin Parrish and Kayla Hoy. All three are facing abduction charges.

Shaver is the biological mother of 15-year-old Dustin Shaver, who disappeared last week from Hurt, Virginia.

An Amber Alert was issued Saturday, but was cancelled when the teen was found safe Sunday morning in Benson.

Shaver and Parrish are being held in the Johnston County Jail. Hoy is being held in Wake County.
