WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have released a photo of a man accused of shooting and killing another man following an argument in Winston-Salem on Friday.

Police are looking for Pablo Mojica Fuentes in connection to the death of 39-year-old Roberto Bustos of Winston-Salem. An arrest warrant for Fuentes has been issued for first degree murder.

Winston-Salem police said the victim was found unresponsive and lying in front of 3011 Apartment B, Broadbay Drive around 9 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim suffered multiple apparent gunshot wounds which may have been the result of a verbal conflict, according to police.

Police said the shooting happened at a small apartment complex in the Waughtown neighborhood. Broadbay Drive is off High Point Road near its intersection with Waughtown Street.

Witnesses said there were fireworks going off in the neighborhood at the same time, making it hard to pinpoint when the gunshots were fired.

The suspect is believed to be about 38 years old, about 5’4” to 5’6” and weighing about 170 pounds. Police said he has a distinctive mole on the right side of his chin.

Police said this is the seventh homicide of 2014, as compared to two homicides for the same period of time in 2013.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call police at (336) 773-7700 or Crime Stoppers at (336) 727-2800.
