SALISBURY, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in Salisbury early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a call on Fisher Street just before 1 a.m. and found a man dead in the front yard.

The man was later identified as 23-year-old Marquis Feamster.

Investigators said someone shot Feamster, but no arrests have been made.

No description of the gunman has been released at this time.

Family members told WSOC that Feamster had a 2-year-old son and had recently returned to the area from Raleigh.

Feamster’s younger sister, Treasure, was shot and killed in 2007 and his cousin Eric was shot and killed last year, according to WSOC.
