MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — As crews search the coastline for missing Gastonia woman, a Mecklenburg County judge issued an order for her arrest.

Crews are still searching for Amy Arrington, 42, who was last seen around 24th Avenue North and North Ocean Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

Arrington has been missing since Saturday.

According to WBTV, she was scheduled to appear in court on Monday for a habitual felon trial and never showed. Arrington is facing multiple charges including identity theft and forgery.

Prosecutors say they didn’t realize Arrington was missing until Monday morning.

It was reported that out-of-state witnesses were in court Monday morning ready to testify against Arrington.

Monday isn’t the only time Arrington has missed court. Prosecutors say her attorney provided an ER note when she failed to appear in court for a previous charge, according to WBTV.
