GARNER, N.C. — A driver miraculously walked away from a fiery crash in Johnston County early Sunday with only minor injuries.

WTVD-TV reported that it happened after midnight on Cornwallis Rd near N.C. highway 42 between Garner and Clayton.

Authorities said a single vehicle went out of control, clipped the guy wires to a power pole, and crashed into a wooded area.

The car caught fire, but the driver escaped with minor injuries, according to officials.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
