Man allegedly steals beer from NC store, threatens clerk with knife

Police said a man went into a Charlotte business and stolen beer, threatening the store clerk with a knife.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said a man went into a Charlotte business and stole beer, threatening the store clerk with a knife.

WSOC-TV reported that the suspect entered a University City 7-Eleven store on Sunday and took two 12 packs of beer without paying.

Police said the suspect took the packs out of the cooler, then left without paying. The clerk confronted the suspect, at which time he showed a knife and threatened the clerk, police said.

The suspect allegedly fled the scene in a red pick-up truck. Police described the suspect as a white male, approximately 25 to 30 years of age, 5 foot 8 inches tall and 165 pounds.
