GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It's a bicycle, but it's also a cab. So, it's called a pedicab. And starting next week you're going to be seeing them around downtown Greensboro.

A couple from Liberty started Gate City Pedicabs after they visited Charleston, rode in one and loved it.

The pedicabs will be riding around downtown Greensboro starting July 3.  They'll be operating Thursday through Sunday evenings.

The pedicab driver will take you anywhere downtown and your tab is a tip. There is no set rate. You just tip your driver whatever you feel is necessary.

Gate City Pedicabs is looking for more drivers. If you are interested, call 336-207-7413.

For those of us whom have difficulty walking, this is a great idea!! Saw them in Charleston also, thought they were a great idea.

It is a great idea for those people who have difficulty waking.
This is a good idea, but if I were one of the drivers I would get my conceal carry permit and be armed, after all it is Greensboro. The scum of Greensboro, (and there is so much), will see this as an easy target.

Just stop it, FaithC. There IS more crime in Greensboro than most of the Triad. But, it’s not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. Now, I’ve stood up for you when Bo Diddly and the others leave stupid comments about you. But, stop badmouthing my hometown!
