PINEHURST, N.C. -- Over the past two weeks, the greatest names in golf were in Pinehurst for the U.S. Open. But the name that was talked about maybe more than any other was Donald Ross.

Ross was the architect of Pinehurst No. 2 and hundreds of other courses around the world.

Ross had a famous home located just off the third green that now belongs to Bob Hansen and his wife Carol. Ross was known for being a golf course architect but he could design great houses too.

Danny Harnden reports.
