FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — More than 70 shots were fired in an incident that led to the death of one man early Sunday, according to WTVD.

Ravon Detrail Jordan, 19, was injured in the 1500 block of Grandview Drive in Fayetteville and died of his wounds Monday at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.

At a news conference Monday, Police Chief Harold Medlock said he was angered over the continued youth crime in the area.

“I’m angry. I’m not frustrated. I’m angry,” he said. “Every parent whose child was out at one or two o’clock in the morning ought to hug their children today because they’re home safe and not in the morgue.”

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
