Man rescued after 30 foot fall into rock quarry in Rowan Co.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency crews have airlifted a man to the hospital after he fell more than 30 feet into a Rowan County rock quarry early Thursday morning.

According to WSOC, the man was an employee of Carolina Quarries and fell into the quarry around 7:30 a.m.

Rescue crews had to use 4-wheelers to get the man out of the quarry and he was then flown to a local hospital.

The man’s identity and condition are not yet known.

    That man is my beloved cousin who fell because he was trying to make ends meet and lost his balance you two people make me sick, I hope you both burn in enternal hell.
