Man injured in Winston-Salem shooting

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are investigating after officials said a man was shot and injured during a shooting in Winston-Salem.

Police said it happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday as the victim was walking in the parking lot between buildings 1631 and 1641 Woods Road.

The 23-year-old male victim said he was approaching a black four-door Kia car when two gunshots were fired.

Police said the victim was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his left leg. The injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Complete descriptions of the suspects were not provided. The investigation is ongoing.

    Sorry he was shot, but thinking there is a little more to the story he may not be saying. Nothing good happens in a parking lot at 3:30am.
