CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Joey Chestnut is considered the best in the world when it comes to competitive eating.

The eating champion is in Charlotte this weekend to visit Coca-Cola Speed Street.

Chestnut stopped by WBTV on Saturday to share details about the July 4th International Hot Dog Eating Contest.

He’s known for his eating-records involving hot dogs, so WBTV decided to challenge him on air. Check it out in the video above.

This is a horrible contest! Death can occur, heart attack, regurgitation, aspiration choking, etc. Not to include blood levels changing, cholesterol….

That’s why you train. He makes a lot of money competing and endorsements. It’s just entertainment, relax and luvtheday.

    • Me,Myself and I

Why would people enjoy and or pay to watch a person stuff his face with carcinogens…GMO, processed gross food? It doesn’t make any difference whether he practices or not, he is asking for a heart attack as previously commented. He must not want to work for a living! Hot dogs are one of the 10 top foods which lead to cancer.
