THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Matthew Lewis is a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer who moved to Thomasville after retiring from the Washington Post.

He fell in love it the town, got involved with the Memorial Day observances there and started documenting them with his camera.

He took the photos and put them into a calendar/photo essay that is being sold to benefit the events and veteran’s causes.

Roy Ackland reports on Lewis' story in this edition of Roy's Folks.
