Petco is getting rid of all dog and cat treats made in China.

The decision comes just days after the FDA issued a new warning that 1,000 dog deaths may be linked to jerky pet treats imported from China.

Petco says it will remove all China-made dog treats from its stores by the end of the year.

The FDA has not been able to pinpoint a direct link between the treats and pet illnesses, so a recall has not yet been issued.

But Petco says customers’ concerns are enough to pull them from the shelves.
