CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina native Chris Daughtry has purchased a 3,473-square-foot unit at The Trust in uptown Charlotte.

The musician and former American Idol contestant recently purchased the unit for $1.9 million and will have neighbors such as Michael Jordan and Cam Newton.

Last year, Daughtry sold his home in Oak Ridge for $585,000.

Daughtry grew up in Lasker, N.C., near Roanoke Rapids. In 2006, Daughtry made it to the top four in American Idol before being eliminated, but ended up getting a record deal despite not winning.

In 2008, Daughtry’s band was nominated for a Grammy Award for best rock song.

The article says he sold his home in Oak Ridge. If so, that was the second one. His last albums have not done well, hope he can keep up with the Joneses. Or in this case the Jordons.
I think hes a no talent phony. LOL

My mama always told me if you don’t have anything nice to say you shouldn’t say anything at all….I find that is useful when there is jealousy involved….

Hmmm… something just doesn’t seem right. Can’t see him moving his wife and family there…. where will they put the chickens?

He still has his home with lots of acres in Oak Ridge – he sold his old home which was on the market a long time ever since they moved from it to the new one. This would be a 2nd home – he’s not moving from Oak Ridge. So this article is misleading.
