ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A dog called 911, saving its owner’s life after the owner started having a seizure.

FOX28 reported that a pit bull-lab mix named Major is credited with saving Terry McGlade’s life.

McGlade was having a seizure and the dog stepped on his phone’s screen for a few seconds, which called 911, something the service dog is trained to do.

Major is a rescue dog trained to sense his owner’s seizures. McGlade was wounded by a roadside bomb after two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.

Police said the dog was waiting in the front yard when they arrived and took them to the owner in the back.
