2 arrested for selling heroin in Surry Co.

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. — Police have arrested two men in connection with dealing heroin from a home in Dobson earlier this year.

Officers arrested Thomas Avery Underhill, 54, and Allan Arthur Carson, 35, following an undercover investigation into the home.

Police say an undercover narcotics agent made heroin buys from the home on Twin Oaks Road earlier this year.

Underhill was arrested on April 30 when a search warrant was served at the home. He was charged with maintaining a drug house, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.

Carson, who is considered homeless and stays at many residences around Surry County, was located and arrested on Thursday in Elkin. He was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, three counts of sale and delivery of heroin and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $100,000 secured.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated against other suspects.
