NORTHGLENN, Colo. – The pilot who walked away from an airplane crash into a home in Colorado on Monday once owned the home, according to KDVR.

Pieces of the airplane were still visible at the home on Tuesday morning.

The pilot, Brian Veatch, is a firefighter for South Metro Fire and also works part-time as an advertising banner plane pilot. Investigators said the plane was carrying an ad for Geico and was headed to Coors Field for the Rockies game.

No one was home when the plane crashed.
