RALEIGH, N.C. – A former high school football player from Rocky Mount is making strides in his recovery after becoming paralyzed more than three years ago.

Thanks to new technology, Colt Brake is doing some of his favorites things again.

For about a year now, Brake has been using special technology to allow him to regain strength in his arms.

"It's like lifting weights you know you struggle,” he said. “I break a little sweat.  It makes my muscles tired and builds them stronger.”

Brake can use his hand to drive his motorized wheelchair. Watch his progress in the video above.
