GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- Forest Oaks Country Club is expected to reopen this weekend.

The news comes more than two weeks after the doors were padlocked shut because the management company running the club, called ES2 Sports & Leisure, declared bankruptcy.

Club owners maintained ES2 had minimal assets at the club and a bankruptcy court judge agreed Friday. The judge granted owners permission to reopen the golf course, lobby, golf shop and locker rooms. Integrity Golf Company, based in Florida, will now manage the club.

The restaurant, pool and fitness center will remain closed until further notice.
