Iraqi law would legalize marriage for girls as young as 9

Imagine a world where nine-year-old girls can’t go to school but they can become wives.

As Iraq holds elections, the council of leaders have approved a draft law that would cut the age at which a woman can marry in half – to nine.

    Really. So two 9 year old children could get married. That probably want happen. More than likely, a 20 plus year old pedophile will want to marry a 9 year old child.

    what else would you expect from a country whose main religion was founded by a man whose favorite wife was about 9 years old. in the western world this guy would have been called a pedifile not a religion founder.

      they were STILL doing this as late as the end of WWII…look at how many men over 21 were marrying girls 5 or 6 years younger when they came back from Europe
