ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. – Friday afternoon's hail storm in Alamance County created business for auto repair shops.

Friday, the National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning for the Piedmont Triad and hail was seen in the Alamance County area.

Brandon Morris with Quality Collision Solutions in Graham said they have had 20 calls from concerned car owners and already estimated damage for 150 cars.

Morris said while most insurance companies cover hail damage, it is important to research and file a claim before you get an estimate. Although each car estimate is different, repairs can cost up to $1,300.

National Dent Works from Raleigh is in assisting in the repairs.

Morris said the shop is offering free estimates to those in the area for hail damage.
