18 people charged in Randolph County drug investigation

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. – Randolph County deputies said they charged 18 people in connection to an investigation involving drugs, firearms and probation violations.

Officials said about 222 grams of marijuana, 16 marijuana plants, a small amount of methamphetamine, numerous prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and 10 firearms with ammunition were seized during the investigation.

Deputies said the investigation was called “Operation Falcon’s Crest” and focused on high risk offenders.

Five of the 18 suspects have been arrested. Deputies said further charges are pending against several other suspects.
