enterprise-shootingMEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 7-year-old Tennessee girl woke up Thursday to go to school and found both of her parents shot to death inside the home, WREG is reporting.

The girl called police around 7 a.m. and told dispatchers she found both her parents shot.

Police confirmed a man and a woman in their 20s were found dead at the home.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Neighbors told WREG the couple had several children and all were “very young.”

There were three other children between the ages of 2 and 5. Those children are with police and will be turned over to family later today.

Neighbors told WREG the family had surveillance cameras around the house after multiple recent break-ins at the home.

“This is crazy man. It’s messed up,” said the victim’s friend Charles Fitzpatrick. “He’s like a brother to me. I’ve known this man for years. He don’t bother nobody. He goes to work and he cuts grass. To think somebody would do that to him.. I don’t even know what to say.”

Another neighbor said he spoke to the man inside the home around 10 p.m. last night and everything seemed fine.
