FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A school bus carrying about 20 children hit a scooter Wednesday at the intersection of Old Salisbury Road and Meghan Elizabeth Lane, authorities said.

None of the children were injured.

The driver of scooter had minor injuries and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, said Trooper Jim Seagle of the N.C. Highway Patrol. The driver’s name wasn’t available.

The incident happened about 3:40 p.m. The bus hit the scooter as the bus was crossing from Woodstone Drive to Meghan Elizabeth Lane, Seagle said.

The bus was carrying students from Kimmel Farm Elementary School.

The children were transferred to another bus, which took them to their homes.
