Piedmont teen uses stop animation to earn full scholarship

You never know how far a hobby can take you – especially if you pursue it with passion and creativity. Charlotte Dorn’s hobby will take her to an elite, private college prep high school on full scholarship.

Well, her hobby wasn’t the only thing. But it was part of an application for the “Sisters Scholarship” at Salem Academy.

Salem may appear to be something new but it is really a harkening to the past. Single-gender education was the norm throughout many areas of the country and the world for centuries and Salem sees real value in an all-girls school to this day.
