Crews respond to fire at old Coca-Cola plant in Biscoe

BISCOE, N.C. — Crews from four fire departments battled a blaze at the old Coca-Cola plant Monday evening.

According to Biscoe Fire Chief Tripp Myrick, the fire was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m. at 204 Factory St. He said the fire was of “suspicious origin.”

It took firefighters approximately 90 minutes to bring the fire under control.

Firefighters from Biscoe, Troy, Starr and Candor all responded.

No injuries were reported.

The plant has been vacant for approximately nine months.
