‘Wanted’ suspect sought after woman shot in Rockingham Co.

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are looking for a man in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday in Ruffin.

Deputies say an 18-year-old Reidsville woman is recovering at the hospital after she was shot at the Mead Lake Apartments in Ruffin.

A warrant for arrest has been issued for Brent Deangelo Hairston of Eden. He is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

Hairston is known to frequent the Ruffin area of Rockingham County and should be considered armed and dangerous, deputies say.

Hairston is described as a 22-year-old black male, 5’8”, 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He has “smile now die later” tattooed on his left arm, “Lord forgive me” on his left shoulder, “only God can judge me” on his right arm.

Hairston was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and attempted robbery in 2008. He is now on probation for those charges.

    Mr. Hairston just hasn’t been given enough chances in life… if he just had free public schools, free bus system to get to said school, free or reduced lunches, ,pell grants, community clinic’s, health care and a progressive government perhaps, he would not have fallen to this sad state.

    And because of Reagen and Bush keeping him down now he is forced to shoot his Nubian Sisters ….
