Oxygen tank explodes inside Rowan Co. home

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — No one was injured after an oxygen tank exploded inside a home in Granite Quarry early Monday morning, according to WSOC.

Officials responded to the explosion on Railroad Street around 4 a.m.

Granite Quarry Fire Department Capt. Jake Chambers said a 20-pound oxygen tank exploded. The tank was in the home for medical reasons.

The house next door also caught fire, but damage was minimal.
