Chatham Co. man’s credit card ‘cloned’ and used in Winston-Salem, three suspects sought

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for three suspects after a man in Chatham County said someone was making purchases on his credit card.

John Porter said he noticed the suspicious transactions on his credit card, which he still had in his possession.

Police say it appears someone “cloned” his credit card and has been using it in Winston-Salem.

The card was first used on Feb. 11 at the Walmart on Parkway Village Circle, where there suspect purchased a “large amount of groceries.”

The card was used again on Feb. 12 at the Family Dollar store in Winston-Salem, where the suspect purchased “several items.”

Images of the suspects were captured on surveillance cameras and police are asking for the public’s help in finding them.
