MONROE, N.C. — A brother and sister were arrested Thursday morning after police said they left four children in a Monroe motel without food.

Ebony and Kelean Gwyn each face child abuse charges.

Investigators said they were called to the Relax Inn Wednesday by employees, concerned about guests in one of the rooms.

Officers said they found four children alone in the room, It appeared they hadn’t been attended to in at least 24 hours.
