MULLINS, S.C. — Police say a burglar who attempted to break into an Arby’s became stuck in the ventilation shaft for four to six hours Tuesday, according to WMBF.

Mullins Police Captain Joe Graham told WMBF an Arby’s employee called 911 at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when she came in and heard what sounded like someone walking on the roof.

The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Laquain Deshawn Guy.

Police and firefighters had to cut through the ventilation shaft and pull Guy out through the roof. Guy was taken by helicopter to a medical center in Florence, S.C.

WMBF reports that Guy remains in the hospital with injuries. He is facing a charge of second-degree burglary.
