GUADALUPE, Calif. — Rescuers may have found the body of a man who was swept out to sea during a beach baptism in California Sunday morning.

The man, along with two other people, were washed away from the Guadalupe Dunes Park shore just as the baptism ceremony was ending, according to KTLA.

Two of the people were able to swim to shore and were uninjured, but the third person did not return from the water.

According to KTLA, a body was reportedly seen in the water Monday morning just a few miles from where the man disappeared.

Authorities were investigating numerous reports that a body was found about 2 to 4 miles north of Guadalupe Dunes Park.
