Two tornadoes confirmed in NC on Saturday

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — The National Weather Service has confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in North Carolina on Saturday.

Officials said that one was in Garner and the other in Fuqua Varina, both near Raleigh. The tornadoes were both EFOs, meaning they were 65 to 85 mph.

The tornado in Garner reportedly touched down for about an eighth of a mile. Windows were pulled out and shingles were pulled off roofs.

The photo above is of a house that was damaged. It remains uncertain if any injuries were reported.
