High Point Rol-A-Rink closes after nearly 60 years

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point Rol-A-Rink closed on Sunday, ending nearly 60 years of business.

Families came out to circle around the rink one last time. The rink first opened in 1957 and was one of three in town, according to The High Point Enterprise.

“We've had tons of memories, so we're relishing in them today,” said final owner Scott Hiatt. “Now we're just going to start some new memories at our other skating ring, Skate South.'”
