Taxi cab driver robbed by armed suspects in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A taxi cab driver told police he was robbed by two people after he drove them to their destination in Greensboro early Tuesday morning.

Police say the United Cab driver was dropping off his customers, a man and a woman, off in the area of the 1200 block of Glenwood Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

The man and woman told the cab driver they were armed and robbed him.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The suspects were only described as a black male and black female.

No one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
