WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woods fire burned about four acres along with an unoccupied house near Liberty Baptist Church on Old Hollow Road Saturday night, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to the scene about 7:52 p.m. and had the fire under control shortly after 9 p.m., although firefighters remained on the scene afterwards extinguishing the remaining traces of the fire.

The fire was in a wooded area on the north side of Old Hollow Road, almost directly across from the church.

Firefighters said that there were no injuries, and that the house was believed to be one that was no longer occupied. The dwelling was a total loss. It was not clear Saturday who owned the property.
