Iowa State beats North Carolina, 85-83

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Iowa State beat North Carolina in a 85-83 victory Sunday night from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The season ends for North Carolina and Iowa State will move on to the Sweet 16.

DeAndre Kane drove for the game-winning layup with 1.6 seconds left.

The Cyclones head to Madison Square Garden next week to face No. 7 seed Connecticut in the East Regional semifinals.

    Since AFAM and Swahili classes are off limits now wonder what will the boys be studying the rest of this semester? Car renting 101? PJ couldn’t pass but I’m sure someone at the hole can pull it off!

    LOL at the UNCheat fans that were crowing out loud about Duke losing are now eating crow themselves. I personally hate that we (ACC) have only UVa to pull for in the tournament. I was hoping the more teams we have playing, the more we have a chance for someone to be playing for a championship. Let’s go UVa.!!! Congrats and good luck!
