WSSU Chancellor Donald Reaves to retire at end of year

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Donald Reaves announced Friday he will retire at the end of the year.

Reaves will resign effective Dec. 31.

Reaves has been chancellor at the school since 2007 and said he wants to return to the classroom.

Reaves received a standing ovation from faculty and students after announcing his retirement Friday in the student activity center named for him.
