GREENSBORO, N.C. — After several bouts of winter weather recently, Greensboro is waiving the curbside yard waste restrictions for all residents indefinitely.

All storm debris will now be collected at the curb.

The decision comes after back to back snow and ice storms this month. Officials say they want to make sure everyone is able to get rid of the yard waste caused by the storms.

The restrictions had been  put on hold until March 28, but because of the amount of debris, the City of Greensboro decided to waive the restrictions indefinitely.

The city believes there was as much as 8,000 tons of debris caused by the storms.
