Stokes Co. man arrested on accusation that he molested girl

KING, N.C. — A King man was arrested Monday after he was accused of molesting a girl earlier this month, authorities said Tuesday.

Howard David Kress, 35, of Mountainview Court, was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, King Police Chief Paula May said. Kress is accused of molesting the girl March 7, according to May.

May declined to give the victim’s age.

Kress was taken to the Stokes County Jail, with his bond set at $10,000, according to King police. He is scheduled to appear in court April 9.
