ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Authorities said a naked man went on a violent rampage and attacked a high school student in Asheville after escaping from a hospital.

WSPA reported that 21-year-old Timothy Leo Rogers escaped from Mission Hospital trauma unit Thursday morning where he was being treated for a stab wound.

Rogers allegedly attacked and injured the student in front of Asheville High School, according to Black Mountain News.

He is also accused of biting a teacher and school resource officer who tried to help the student and punching a woman.

Officials said Rogers was taken back to the hospital for treatment, but he will face several assault charges when released.
