Lauren A. Bush, age 17, of Mechanicsville, MD, was arrested and charged as an adult.

MARYLAND — Two Maryland teenage girls were charged this week with assaulting an autistic boy and recording him on their cell phones performing sex acts, including some with animals, the St. Mary County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.

Authorities said the two girls, ages 17 and 15, admitted to police that they assaulted the boy with a knife on “multiple occasions.”

“His parents refer to him as (having) been diagnosed autistic,” said Sgt. Cara Grumbles, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office. “Some of the sexual acts involved animals. It’s awful.”

A news release from the department said the girls also kicked the boy in the groin and dragged him by his hair.

They also got him to walk onto a partially frozen pond. When the boy fell through several times, they made him get out each time by himself, police said.

Detectives found videos on the girls’ cell phones.

Prosecutors charged the 17-year-old, Lauren A. Bush, as an adult. The 15-year-old was charged as a juvenile. Police didn’t release her name.

Each was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, child pornography and false imprisonment.

What kind of monsters raised these two brats?? No morals
I bet the wonderful justice we have will slap them on the hand

Our society today has taught people to pass the buck, blame others, have no regards for life etc. We need to teach by example. These girls may have been abused BUT that does not give them an excuse for doing what they did. Pray for that young boy because this will follow him for a long, long time.

One of the girls’ mothers is who turned them in.
I know that a lot of people are quick to blame parents, and more often than not, the parents are neglectful or permissive or abusive, but that is not ALWAYS the case. Some people are just rotten, and no amount of good parenting can change that.

The oldest one is being tried as an adult, thank goodness.
I’m going to look into starting a petition to get these girls the stiffest possible penalties. Their actions are reprehensible. How will that poor boy recover from this abuse?!?

This is disgusting and a punishment should happen here. Lock them up and get a taste of what they deserve

I agree with the poster who suggested their picture with name and location be put on every public forum possible. I bet these girls had this boys parents thinking they were his friends. They both should be tried as an adult and given the maximum sentence. I hate to think what they might of done if they’ve been around small children. Their minds are twisted and to me its irrelevant whether they’ve been abused their self or not. Lock them up and leave them there.

Why do we put up with this? Gangs, murders and these so called children committing adult crimes and torture.Yet, in court most are blaming anything but their own actions. Our courts seem to be more and more against the victim and with the criminal who did this terrible deed. We need to try to understand what happened or why they did this so we send them to some therapy. Never changing anything. I bring to your attention this week that Attorney General is asking for lesser jail time for small time drug offenses. But, this just encourages people to do what ever they want, no hard time. Even in jail, they still get to do crimes and we even put up with that. My opinion, and just mine, you get convicted and do crime in jail, you get shot.

I believe that these girls need some serious psychological help. Dont get me wrong they need to pay for what they did to this young boy but they also ned help so when they get out of prison or juvenile they dont do this again.

Death penalty from the get go. There’s no helping those girls. They aren’t “kids” people! They are already that fucked up, then don’t waste our time and money trying to “fix” the fixable. They had no remorse for what they did, only sad they got caught. True psychopaths that just need to go. Sorry but just because they had the “mental capacity” to dream up that sick shit doesn’t mean they had some kind if bad home life or were abused. Gee they just might be bat shit crazy and had a great life . Who cares! Get rid of them and move on!

Lots of comments on here along the following lines:
    1- Death penalty/life in prison
    2- They are beyond help
    3- Why?

I’ll try to address all 3.

Death penalty/life in prison? Seriously? For a crime that, although cruel and disgusting, caused no permanent bodily injury to the boy? That’s reactionary nonsense.

They are beyond help? Not so. They definitely have huge issues and likely, their parents do too, but with a good dose of punishment, they will have a chance to reflect on the heinous nature of their crimes, and there is always a chance they can be reached. This was not murder, but it was barbaric.

Why? You may not like my answer. This society is GODLESS. No morals, post religion, secular, progressive, humanist, hedonist, and more and more with not even the slightest sense of right or wrong. You cannot do that to a society for a sustained period of time without seeing some of the nastier effects.

This is absolutely gut wrenching & heart breaking. I think there has to be something deep going on with these girls for them to not only commit such heinous actions but to video it? Absolutely deplorable
