Pittsburgh routs Wake Forest, 84-55

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Pittsburgh routed Wake Forest, beating them by 29 points, in the second round of the ACC tournament Thursday afternoon at the Greensboro Coliseum.

The Panthers (24-8, 11-7 ACC) were led by Lamar Patterson, who put it 24 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists.

Coron Williams led the way for the Demon Deacons (17-16, 6-12 ACC) with 16 points in a losing effort.

Pittsburgh will take on No. 15 North Carolina (23-8, 13-5 ACC) Friday at 2 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.
