LEXINGTON, N.C. – The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said they’re investigating after a man was shot and killed at a home in Lexington.

Deputies said they found 36-year-old George Harrison Humphries with a gunshot wound Thursday at 272 Shepps Boat Dock Road while responding to a report of shots being fired.

Authorities said Humphries was found inside the home and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, but did not survive his injuries.

Deputies said an initial investigation indicates the incident was domestic related. The investigation is ongoing.

Sheriff Grice said there are currently no other people being sought in connection with the incident.
