As the morning news team celebrated Mardi Gras today, FOX8's Cindy Farmer got the chance to play music with a zydeco musician.

Terrance Simien will be performing his "Zydeco Experience" live Tuesday night at the High Point Theatre.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. to head up the venue's Mardi Gras celebration.

Simien creates a hypnotic blend of New Orleans funk-reggae-flavored-Afro-Caribbean-world, roots zydeco music, yet, at the same time, has skillfully found a seamless, artful way to deliver his eclectic music as a relevant, evolving artist firmly rooted in Creole tradition.
